Frequently Asked Questions

1.  Where do you get your stones?  Actually, we get them from all over the world.  We strongly believe in supporting the global economy.  Just think, that stone you are wearing is helping a man or woman to support his/her family in a far off land.  I love that!

2.  Where do you get your findings?  We buy those all over the world too.  We spend hours searching out the best quality for the best price so your item is as affordable as possible.

3.  What prompted you to take on this venture?  We both love natural things, we both love pretty things, we both love affordable things.  The idea hit us that we aren't the only ones who like natural, pretty and affordable so, why not bring our finds to you?

4.  Can you explain the measurements?  Yes, I can.  If you are not familiar with buying gemstones, the measurements in mm may not make sense to you.  We don't want you to be happy with your purchase, we want you to be thrilled with it! (and then send all your friends to us)

If your stone measures 45mm, that's close to 2 inches.

This graphic should help you decide which  cord or chain length is best for you.  Ours typically average between 17 and 20 inches in length but, where ever possible, we will give you what YOU prefer.  Just ask, ok?

5.  Do you have a return policy?  Gasp?  Returns?  Oh my, that would be horrifying.  However, we are very nice people and we will work with you to make sure that you are thrilled.  We don't have a blanket return policy that we hide behind.  So, I guess the answer to that question is "no" but, contact us and we can chat about it, ok?  Like I said, we are very nice people.

6.  How do you determine your prices?  We throw a dart at a chart on the wall and go from there.  No, seriously, we consider what we paid for that particular stone, what findings or elements went into the design and then determine the price.  So, if one of us had to distract the competition to get that particular stone then we price the piece accordingly.  No competitor is ever hurt during the buying process, I swear.

7.  How quickly do you ship?  Oh, as quickly as possible.  We assume that you are as impatient as we are when it comes to waiting for purchases to come in the mail.  We tend to stalk our letter carrier so we try to get your piece to you as quickly as possible so no letter carriers are unduly stressed.

8.  Do you ship worldwide?  Of course we do.  We buy globally to support the global economy so we ship globally too.  If shipping is a little more than we anticipated, oh well!

9.  How accurate are your photos?  That's a tough question to answer.  Believe it or not, what I see on my monitor may not be what you see on yours due to calibration differences.  Now, in plain speak that means, some colours may look a little different in person than they do on your computer.  We go to great lengths to compare our photos to the actual item to ensure they are as close as possible.  Everything we do at kija, we do with as much integrity as possible.  (I told you we were nice people)
